Wow, so many people commenting on this relatively older photo. Did someone link this thumbnail or something? Viewers, please let me know why or how you viewed this photo, thanks!
Yes, the colors are definately very vivid, love the macro too, it really brings out the background blur of colors that is just awesome. The fly is good too, what was the equipment used here? Although it is a great capture, I think that you could have done a different angle, above the fly or looking it in its face. You could have also taken this one, then waited for it to fly off to get the motion of the wings, just to have a couple different shots just 'cause its digital, you can always delete, a commodity I don't have. Although it was a nice shot to notice this little guy, I got one semi like this in Alaska, i was macroing a flower and this little bug flew up and got right in my shot...I don't think it will turn out as well as this one though. Overall, good catch, but you could have taken multiple and a diff. angle.

lol, it always turns out this way! I was actually photographing the sunrise, and I had no intention of doing any macro, I just noticed the cool looking moss and then I noticed the strangely blue-ish bug so I threw my macro lens on real quick and snapped him. If this had been my main concern at the time, I definitely would have taken a million shots of this. But as the situation dicated, I had a spectacular sunrise to capture so that's what I did. But it ALWAYS turns out this way, I take a photo just on a whim and then everybody loves it. Oh well!
