I love this picture. I hope you win :) I entered one of my hotel series in the self-portrait contest.

BTW, how did you find out about the sunset contest? I've been browsing the contest section of DA, but didn't see it there?

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy it...

I was referred to it by another deviant, who's name eludes me right now. I had no idea a sunsets group exists, either! I've tried but I can't find a deviantART groups listing...

But, a self-portrait contest? Where's THAT at? maybe I could enter my reflection shot in it...

Take care,
-Matt-

Gorgeous piece.
That D70 really can stop the motion.
Did you get wet or was this zoomed in and taken from a distance?

When you have an f/2.8 lens and ISO 400, you can juuuust barely stop water... (1/250 sec)

Yes, I took the shot from a few yards away, with my 150mm macro / telephoto lens...

Take care,

Wow, at first I thought it was a painting...on closer inspection it's the work of Mother Nature.
With your help, of course.
Simply lovely, gooooooooooot luck!!
