Sunrise at Woodbridge North Lake, September 2005.

It's magical mornings like this that make everything worth it. Getting up at 5:30 or earlier, going out into the dark, cold, wetness... Waiting on the bridge as the atmosphere grows warmer and warmer, and the mist and fog is swirling around, and then the sun barely bobs up to the horizon and *POW*, the whole scene is "set off" before my eyes.

Have I convinced you to get up and watch the sunrise yet?

Very nice picture. I'd probably be getting up early tommorow morning if the weather wasn't calling for rain/clouds :(

Something magic happens at sunrise and sunset and it's amazing how many people overlook it.

Rain / Clouds? What I wouldn't give for that forecast! When there's the possibility of harsh weather, there's an even greater possibility for an incredible, epic sunrise. Do yourself a favor, set your alarm to go off right at sunrise, and have a look out a window that faces East. You might see just grey, but you might also see something spectacular...
